Terms of service
Draft. Written to be read rather than to be relied on, and not reviewed by a lawyer. Do not treat this as a binding agreement until it has been.
What this is
motto runs software agents on machines it manages, subject to a policy you write. You keep ownership of everything you put here. We do not train on it, sell it, or read it except where a person you have asked for help needs to.
What we ask of you
- Do not use an agent to break the law, attack anyone, or send unsolicited mail.
- Do not attempt to escape the sandbox or reach another account. If you find a way, tell us — see Security.
- Your credentials are yours. We store them encrypted and cannot read them back; if you lose the master key on a self-hosted install, neither can you.
What we owe you
- To run your agents as your policy says, and to record what they did.
- To tell you before we change these terms in a way that matters.
- To let you export your record and leave. Archived agents keep their record; hostnames are never reused.
There is no uptime commitment today. When there is one it will be on this page with a number in it, and until then assume none.
Ending it
You can close your account whenever you like. We may suspend an account that is breaking the rules above, and will say which one.
